Malioboro Street is the street name for one of the three street area in the city of Yogyakarta, which stretches from Tugu Yogyakarta up to the intersection of Post Office in Yogyakarta. On December 20, 2013 , at 10:30 by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X name two streets Malioboro is returned to its original name , Prince Street Mangkubumi be Margoutomo road , and Gen. Street . A. Yani be Margomulyo way . [ 1 ]
There are several historical objects in the three- way include Tugu Yogyakarta , Tugu Station , Great House , Beringharjo , Vredeburg and Monuments Attack Oemoem March 1 .
Malioboro Street is very popular with the street vendors who peddle handicrafts Jogja and Lesbian stalls at night selling food jogja typical warm as well -known as a gathering place for artists who often express their abilities such as playing music , painting , hapening art , mime , and others along the way
